This is John Tetley, the bass player for Jag Panzer. My hobbies and interest include sci fi and horror movies and collectibles, heavy metal, CD collecting of all types of music including movie soundtracks, DVD collecting, McFarlane movie monster action figures, concert's
I started playing around 18, I just bought a bass and a amp and I wanted to learn how to play and it so happen that Mark, Harry and Rick Hilyard where playing in a band called Purple Haze and there bass player had quit and Mark ask me to join because I already had gear and so he started teaching me basic idea's on how to play the bass.
Our band had several different names til we called ourselves Jag Panzer when we had recieved our first record deal from Azra (Iron Works) Records.

You know what's funny but for the longest time and still, I've always been on the quest for tone and I thought I was the only bass player on the planet that was constantly trying different type of basses, amps and strings.
Every bass player that I have ever met in my entire musical life is on the same quest for tone, so I'm glad I'm not loosing my mind.
The basses I play are Modulus 5 and 6 string basses, I've been playing Modulus since 1992 and they FUCKING RULE!!!!!
I'm using a Demeter HBP-1 and a Demeter VTBP- 201S bass preamps, Stewart Audio World 1.6 power amp, Epifani 210UL and 115UL bass cabinets and I also use a Bass Pod Pro that I used to record "Casting the Stones".
