July 5th 2008 - Latest News
We've signed a new publishing deal, which also means we're working on writing new material for the next album. As far as which record label we'll work with, we're not decided yet. All of this can be very time-consuming.
If you haven't noticed yet, we're going to be launching a new and improved website within the month of July. We think/hope you'll really like it! It will include an online store, making it possible to purchase merch. Speaking of merch, we have NEW SHIRTS! In addition to the traditional t-shirts we have ladies' tank tops. (It's about time!) Also available at the store will be CDs, DVDs, new patches, vinyl LPs, jewelry, etc.
As far as touring goes, we will probably not do very much this year, as we really want to put out a kick-ass new album for you! But we ARE in the process of planning/booking shows for early next year. We'll definitely let you know as soon as things are finalized.
Again, we thank all of you and we really appreciate you! Stay in touch and keep the suggestions and comments coming, they really keep us inspired and focused on putting out the best music possible! See you soon!
June 24th 2008 - Update / Show in Italy
Hey Everyone,
I'm not online much lately (way too much going on) but I've got a few minutes so I'll update this blog.
Last week's show here in town was very cool. We had a great time and it was good to see lots of metal fans here in Colorado Springs.
We're in the process of booking a festival in Italy for early next year. I'm looking forward to this.
Otherwise I'm wrapping up material for the new album. I just got some new drum tracks from Rikard and they are amazing. Chris is writing some material too. He played me some riffs on the phone and they were smokin'.

June 23th 2008 - New album and website news
After a rather legnthly bit of "web silence" we are pleased to announce
a complete overhaul and redesign of our official website. Aside from constant updates on the band's futures plans, the website will be a much more complete and content focused design.
The site is currently underway and will be launching Mid-July (possibly sooner). JAG PANZER have also recently signed a new publishing deal, and the writing for the new album is going great. Please continue to check the website and the following for current news and updates.

January 14th 2008 - An update from Mark Briody
Hello everyone! First of all - A HUGE congratulations to Chris Broderick for his new gig with Megadeth. Chris is a worldclass talent and the hardest worker I've ever met.
He's like a brother to me and I'm excited for him to get this opportunity. Myself, and everyone else in the band, not only support Chris's decision, we're excited for him.
We (Jag Panzer) have brought Chris Lasegue back to play guitar. Chris tore it up on 'Chain of Command' and his chops are light years better then they were back then.
So why the total silence from Jag Panzer over the past year? Frankly, I'm upset about getting the rug pulled out from me on the live album. We have a budget for the live album. A tiny budget. I took out a spreadsheet and figured that this budget would allow us to rent a van and drive to Montreal to record the live album. We'd have to supply the recording equipment ourselves and mix the live album ourselves. Yes, the budget is that small.
We were planning on recording the show for a live DVD as well. Releasing this live DVD would have offset our additional costs we incurred on the live album. But I never saw the DVD release paperwork from the label. Gas prices have gotten so high that our budget wouldn't even cover expenses one way to Montreal or anywhere else we'd need to go for a live album.
So right now we're stuck. We're contractually obligated to do a live album, but there funds to do it just aren't adequete. People have suggested we record the KIT show. That's a great idea. But I checked on the price of a mobile truck and it's double the budget. Arghhh!!!
My solution - we're moving forward with new material after we get back from Germany. I'm hoping things can get sorted out with the live album, but I have to move forward. I'm not angry with Century Media, I know they are trying to run a business. But something has to give.
So look for a new single in the months after KIT.
January 14th 2008 - JAG PANZER announce new guitarist
JAG PANZER have announced the addition of Christian Lasegue as their new lead guitarist. Those familiar with the band's "Chain of Command" release will recognize his name as the lead guitarist on that album.
Guitarist Mark Briody comments: "We had set the bar pretty high for lead guitar playing with our first full-length album. There was much concern among fans and critics as to whether or not we could maintain such a high level of musicianship in the lead guitar department. Christian quelled those concerns about two seconds into his first solo. A large part of the underground popularity of 'Chain of Command' is easily attributed to the electrifying guitar playing of Christian Lasegue. Christian was a great guitar player back then and his chops are light years beyond that today. I'm excited to be working with him again."
Christian first gig back with the band will be on stage as headliners at the prestigious Keep It True festival this April in Germany.
